you know, being unemployed doesnt render me completely useless.
i managed to clean my pigsty of a room, something that my mom and dad havent quite recovered from yet.
you can actually see my floor now!
see, im not entirely a mess. /1/2/ for bigger proof.
everything's stashed/stacked nice and neat and maybe if im not too busy (doing what i dont know) i will do a proper tour of my room. i give it 2 maybe 3 weeks before i wreck it again though.
the past weekend was good (i might post pictures tmr or never). i paid my dues, the kids are happy, my mom's happy which in turn makes me happy because i have a new pair of black onto headphones/red optical mouse/purple coli. my sleeping pattern is all kinds of fucked up though. it goes like this; i dont sleep for 2-3 days then the 4th day i sleep for 12 hours straight and the cycle of doom continues. i think i am finally ready to see the doctor again, the last time i went for insomnia was after my O's but at least then i lost 12 kg because of it (all of which i unfortunately gained back [and then some] once school started).
speaking of which, meet my simpsons character if i was thinner and more attractive.
i've decided that my name would be nora wallabing and that i would be a plummer by day, superhero(ine) by night.
also, a couple people were asking me how i made the
mushroom gravy from my previous post.
let me share a secret.

urgh, am in the midst of my menstrual cycle and its the 2nd day so im pretty much in pain everywhere. stomach cramps, check. aching back, check. sore boobies, check. throbbing vagina, check!
after being an invalid for the better part of today i took 4 panadols which made me feel a wee bit better.
i was craving for pan fried fish (oh galileo, how i've missed you!) so i made some for my lunchSLASHdinner the other day,
with some variations (otherwise known as hentam sajer lah).
pan fried dory with sauteed mushroom gravy, roasted potatoes with thyme+basil+chili flakes and steamed corn and french beans.
cooking is fun, washing up after is not.
anyway, i went to johor with my mom last week and oh my god so much drama. i've always whined and complained how i look nothing like my passport photo, i mean seriously, im not even being vain but its true! i look bloated (which is hard cos im already so tembam) and high as a kite. really! i look like i just smoked 3 bags of weed. i could scan it and show you guys i guess but that will only happen the day pigs fly mmmkay? anyway, so the malaysian customs almost didnt let me in, insisting that i wasnt the same girl from the passport photo and when i offered to show them my i/c they made a big fuss and took offence or smt so it was a big hoohaa and in the end i was let in with a warning that next time i would not be let in unless i have a new photo. urggggh. and the same thing happened when i was leaving! at the singapore customs the indian lady made me show her my i/c and recite my particulars to her. that day sucked. i didnt shop much which my mom found amusing but i only got undies from la senza (5 for 40RM!) and a new bag. my mom and i ate a lot though (breakfast at breadtalk, lunch at italiannies, tea+dessert at the coffee bean). lol i know right, macam maner tak gemok.
coffee danish (which i only got cos i thought it was chocolate) / my mom with her chicken floss bun / olive oil + strawberry drink thingy
my bulat face (practising for new passport photo) / chicken thingy which sucked but the cream spinach was ace / stuffed mini portobello mushrooms
gluttons / dunkin donuts for my cousins / moto moto moto!
also, some photos of whatever from whenever
happy meal toy / some sign that was too HUH to be true / lost love found
also, i found the greatest photo ever (thank you internet).
nobody will get this but its soooo cute.

current thoughts/happenings/dilemmas part deux- best thing to ever happen to me in a while was getting the special edition west side story dvd.
- mo money mo problems. no money also mo problems what.
- what the hell, my hair doesnt seem to be growing and its worrying me. it usually takes 2 weeks after a haircut for my hair to start growing out uncontrollably but its been 7 weeks already and nothing. i sorta miss my long-ish hair =(
- monk season 6 started last week! happy happy happy
- been cooking pseudo gourmet meals for myself. here's what i made for my lunch/dinner last week
shitake mushroom melt and roasted potatoes with thyme. thyme is my herb of the month, possibly.
- lol a few people commented that reading my blog makes them hungry. im sorry im a glutton ok!
- still jobless. well not entirely true, but i wouldnt call giving english tuition a job.
- you know, sometimes when your mind wanders, you remember funny stuff. i always get reminded of the embarrassing moments of my sad life and it makes me giggle nervously.
- didnt sleep a wink last night. instead i woke my parents up and forced them to take me to swensens for their breakfast set (a brilliant start to a sunday morning)
- i wonder why more people arent having breakfast at swensens. it's one of their few redeeming factors, really, besides the breaded mushrooms, calamari and banana crumble.

- speaking of secondary school, i found my 2001 yearbook so i scanned in my class and ncc photo. if you must know, i cant remember the names of 17 of my classmates lol. and if you can find me, ignore the questionable haircut. i was 15 for crying out loud!
